Businesses of the Year 2011

The Chamber’s June 13th luncheon featured State Rep. Joseph Abruzzo and State Senator, Lizbeth Benacquisto as keynote speakers, but it was two area business owners who where the stars of the afternoon! The Palms West Chamber presented its 2011 Business of the Year Award to Two Men and a Truck, a moving company opened by Joel and Janelle Dowley in 2005 and The Palm Beach Post, an active Chamber member and leader in the community.  The luncheon was sponsored by Waste Management and food was provided by Big Al's Pizza.

The Business of the Year awards are given annually to two Palms West Chamber Businesses – one award is presented to a business that has gross sales of less than $2,000,000 and the second award is presented to a business that has gross sales of more than $2,000,000.  To qualify, nominees must be a Palms West Chamber member in good standing; they must have demonstrated its commitment to the community and to the Palms West Chamber; and they must maintain a presence in the 'Heart of Palm Beach County.'

The Palms West Chamber of Commerce is looking forward to another great year that will undoubtedly produce another set of outstanding business and individual leaders!  Congratulations to this year's winners!
